Victorian 14kt Diamond Repousse Link Bracelet 0.50ctw
A beautiful and artistic bracelet from the Victorian era (ca1880)! This lovely piece is crafted in 14kt yellow gold and is comprised of a series of decorative links. Each square-shaped link features a fine repousse design on the surface, which provides beautiful texture! Three old Mine Cut diamonds are set across the front of the piece, adding a gorgeous sparkle. The diamonds weigh approximately 0.50ctw combined, with H-I range color and VS2 range clarity. Gold oval connectors hinge each square link together, creating a straight but flexible design that wraps comfortably around the wrist when worn. The piece fastens with a simple push clasp at the end, and a safety chain provides extra security when worn. It looks beautiful when worn and is a wonderful example of the Victorian era's aesthetic!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 6 1/2" long and would fit nicely on a small to medium sized wrist. The larger center link measures 3/8" across, while the rest of the links at the sides measure 1/4" in size. The total pennyweight of the piece is 6.7 dwt (10.4 grams).
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold links, connectors, or repousse detail. All three of the stones are intact and securely set. The clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition. The safety chain has been unhooked in the pictures, but is permanently attached and secure. There is a natural patina in the grooves of the design, which is normal for antique jewelry and adds depth to the design.
