Victorian 14kt Etruscan Micro Mosaic Flower Pendant
A beautiful micro mosaic pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Originally an antique pin, the piece has been expertly repurposed into a vertical hanging pendant, making this a wonderful example of antique conversion jewelry! The pendant has a decorative 14kt gold setting that frames a micro mosaic image at the center. The detailed image depicts a colorful group of flowers and leaves above a solid black background. Each tiny micro mosaic glass tile is individually hand cut and glued in place to form the overall design, which illustrates the impressive handiwork needed to achieve such a lovely result. Surrounding the image is a delicate gold beadwork and wirework border, while additional Etruscan details at the top and bottom provide the perfect finishing touch. On the back of the pendant is hidden gold bail, where it can be hung from a favorite chain. A stunning example of micro mosaic artistry, this pendant would make a special addition to any Victorian jewelry collection!
Measurements: The pendant measures approximately 2 1/8" tall, 5/8" wide, and 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or Etruscan details. The micro mosaic image is intact, and the gold bail is securely attached.
