Victorian 14kt Gold Dangling Etruscan Crown + Tassel Earrings
A beautifully decorative pair of Etruscan earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in rich 14kt yellow gold, these unique earrings depict ornate half orbs, which have an elaborate wirework and tassel design. Each earring begins with a petite ball surmount which attaches to the front of a simple gold earring wire. Dangling below is a half orb link that displays a fine wirework design at the base, portraying a fantastic regal crown. Hanging freely and attached at the bottom of each crown is a row of long bar tassels which encircle the cap, creating an attractive fringe appearance, and giving the earrings lovely movement. Two gold beads adorn each bar tassel, perfectly completing the royal look. The delicate Etruscan work detailing each earring is simply superb and gives the earrings a very attractive and rich look. A feminine and unusual pair of earrings, they look marvelous when worn and would make a fantastic addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang a little less than 2" long and measure 3/8" at the widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or Etruscan wirework design and both earring wires are secure.
