A lovely painted porcelain pin/pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This very large piece is made of a single round plaque of porcelain which has the wonderful painted image of two winged cherubs. The color and detail of the picture is simply wonderful, and each cherub appears to be deep in thought while gazing up at the heavens. It's set in a simple 14kt yellow gold bezel frame, which is detailed with a twisted rope border. On the back of the piece is the original c-catch pin clasp along with a small round bail for hanging from a fine chain. The pin/pendant is marked on the back "27 A". It's a wonderful piece and would make a lovely addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin/pendant measures a little more than 1 3/4" tall at the tallest point, 2 1/4" at the widest point and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin/pendant is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the painted porcelain plaque or to the gold setting, and the clasp is secure and in good working condition.
