Victorian 14kt Mother of Pearl, Diamond + Emerald Turtle Pendant Necklace
A darling turtle conversion pendant necklace from the Late Victorian (ca1900s) era! This adorable reptile is crafted in 14kt yellow gold and features a shell depicted by an iridescent Mother of Pearl shell. The turtle's four legs and tail are each adorned with a sparkling old Rose Cut diamond and a striking emerald displays a bright green hue in the turtle's head. Delicately accented by tiny carved eyes and webbed feet, the turtle is an absolutely precious conversion piece. A modern 14kt yellow gold chain marked "14K" on its spring ring clasp attaches at either end of the turtle, allowing him to hang sideways, making the necklace ready to be worn. This pendant conversion necklace would be a wonderful addition to any menagerie!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 16.25" in total length. The turtle itself measures 3/4" from head to tail and 1/2" wide.
Condition: The pendant necklace is in overall excellent antique condition. There is no apparent damage to the Mother of Pearl, diamonds, or emerald and all are securely set. The chain and its spring ring clasp are secure and in good working condition. There is a single dent on the underside of the turtle's shell, however, it is not visible when worn and does not negatively impact the overall beauty or integrity of the piece.
