A phenomenal bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14kt rosy yellow gold, this fabulous piece features a mythical dragon-like creature that forms the body of the bracelet, making a bold statement when worn. The animal has sharp teeth, finely detailed fur that flows into a rippling mane, and incredible patterned scales that carry across the surface of the gold as the tail tapers. Two bright green emerald cabochons stud the eyes and eight gorgeous natural rubies (weighing approximately 1.00ctw) line the creature's collar, adding a wonderful pop of color to the piece. A luscious bezel set green paste stone accents the animal's back, the perfect finishing touch. The body of the bracelet is comprised of 6 curved sections that seamlessly hinge together with an internal spring mechanism, allowing it to expand to accommodate the wearer's wrist. Though the creature's head and mane are detailed all around, its belly is smooth and the bracelet is comfortable to wear. A safety chain extends from the creature's collar allowing it to be leashed to its own tail by a small spring ring. A magnificent statement piece, this bracelet would be a fantastic addition to any collection!

Measurements: At its tightest, the inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2" wide and 1 7/8" tall. Due to the nature of the design, the bracelet would fit most average wrist sizes. It measures 1/2" at its widest and rests 1/2" above the wrist at its tallest when worn.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The emeralds, rubies, and paste stone are intact and securely set. The safety chain and its attached spring ring are secure and in good working condition.
