Victorian 14kt Persian Turquoise + Natural Pearl Earrings
A lovely pair of turquoise and pearl earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each of these 14kt yellow gold earrings features a decorative design that hangs from a clasped earring wire. Two curved links lined with calibrated Persian turquoise stones are hugged together at the center by a row of gorgeous seed pearls. Two natural pearls rest at the top and bottom of the design, held in a lovely buttercup-style prong setting. The blueish green turquoise stones mixed with the lustrous, iridescent pearls create a stunning combination against the vibrant gold background. Finishing the design is a textured border that surrounds the turquoise stones, and delicate beadwork accents are dotted along the perimeter of the setting. The earrings swing from simple gold wires and clasp securely in the back. They are perfect for the turquoise lover, and would look wonderful worn everyday!
Measurements: Each earring hangs about 1" long (including the earring wire), measures approximately 3/8" at the widest point, and is about 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the Persian turquoise stones and pearls are intact and securely set. The earrings wires are secure and in good working order.
