An absolutely stunning bangle bracelet from the Victorian (1880s) era! Crafted in 14kt rose gold, this fabulous piece features 22 pyramidal cut onyx stones which are set within a unique bypass design at the front. The rich black faceted stones are square in shape and seamlessly channel set, framed on both sides with a fine milgrained border. The geometric design begins and ends at either side, each "L" shaped arm connecting at the front, creating an overlapping appearance with an open center. The underside of the bangle features a solid rich, black enameled surface which carries the entire length from hinge to closure. The bracelet is hinged and opens at the side with a clasp which is seamlessly incorporated into the design and a safety chain is present for added security. The sleek, stylish design lends itself perfectly to modern-day fashion, and would look fabulous stacked with other complementary bangles. A very wearable everyday piece, it is perfect for the fashion-forward woman's collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where your wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and 1 3/4" tall. The bangle measures approximately 7/8" wide at the front and a little more than 1/4" at the enameled back and is slightly less than 1/4" thick at the front, where the onyx is set.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. There is a minor indent in the gold setting on the side of the bracelet, which due to the location is not noticeable when worn. All of the onyx stones are intact and securely set and besides 2 very tiny chips at the tips, are in near pristine condition. The hinge, clasp, and safety chain are all secure and in good working order.
