Victorian 14kt Sapphire + Diamond Crescent Moon Bracelet
A wonderful crescent moon bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous bangle is crafted in 14kt yellow gold, and features a beautiful gemstone moon at its center. Lining the surface of the open crescent are four sapphires and three sparkling diamonds, which form a stylish alternating pattern! Two additional sapphires are set at either side of center, framed by lightly engraved embellishments. The band is comprised of stacked open wirework, tapering gradually as it nears the back. It fastens with a push clasp at the side, where a gold safety chain provides additional security. This stunning celestial-inspired piece would make a stylish addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The interior of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and 1 7/8" tall, and would fit nicely on an average sized wrist. The crescent moon measures 3/4" in size. The bracelet band measures 3/8" wide at the front, and 3/16" wide at the very back.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the sapphires and diamonds are intact and securely set. The clasp and safety chain are secure and in good working condition. There is a minor indent on the wirework at the back of the bracelet, however, due to its location, it is not noticeable when worn.
