Victorian 14kt/Sterling Diamond Flower Earrings 1.10ctw
A stunning pair of diamond flower earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold topped in sterling silver, each earring displays a fantastic diamond-encrusted floral design. A single old Mine Cut diamond rests at the center of the flower, prong set and catching the light at every turn. The 3-dimensional flowers have six petals lined with sparkling old Rose Cut diamonds and six additional diamonds burst from the spaces in between. The open-backed setting allows the light to hit the diamonds from all angles, enhancing their sparkle and the earrings hang from a polished 14kt yellow gold wire. This beautiful, feminine set of earrings would be a perfect addition to any collection.
Measurements: Each earring hangs nearly 7/8" long (including the wires), measures approximately 5/8" in diameter, and are slightly more than 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the 14kt gold and sterling setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The wires are secure and in good working condition. Due to the hand cut nature of old Rose Cut diamonds, the shape of the stones do not have perfect symmetry. This reflects the age and genuine appearance of antique diamonds.
