Victorian 14kt/Sterling Heart-Shaped Amethyst + Diamond Ring
An absolutely stunning amethyst ring from the late Victorian (ca1900s) era! This fabulous heart-shaped piece is crafted in 14kt yellow gold and sterling silver and adorns a substantial amethyst cabochon at the center. The closed-back amethyst, which has a puffy heart shape, is bezel set and exhibits a gorgeous, violet color. Two Transitional Cut diamonds rest at the top and bottom of the heart-shaped centerpiece, each bezel set in sterling silver and collectively weighing approximately 0.30ctw. The shoulders of the ring display a split shank design which merges with the yellow gold band detailed with an engraved texture, adding a subtle, yet lovely accent. It's a very feminine and romantic piece that is simply stunning when worn. It would make a wonderful gift for someone special, and would be a perfect addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7.5 but could easily be resized. The heart-shaped centerpiece, including the diamonds, measure approximately 1/2" wide, a little less than 7/8" tall and 3/8" in depth
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling setting and the amethyst and diamonds are all intact.
