Victorian 14kt/Sterling Natural Sapphire + Diamond Earrings 2.00ctw
A breathtaking pair of natural sapphire and diamond earrings from the late Victorian (ca1900s) era! These exquisite earrings are crafted in 14kt yellow gold topped in sterling silver and have an elegant, feminine design. Each earring features a generously sized oval sapphire that rests in the center of a sparkling twelve-diamond border. The large sapphires emit a stunning deep blue color and rest in a milgrained yellow gold bezel setting, collectively weighing approximately 2.00ctw between both stones. Encircling the sapphires is a border of sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds, weighing approximately 0.60ct per earring, set in sterling silver with a milgrain edge. The earrings feature beautiful Bezel Set diamond weighing approximately 0.07ct on each of the 14kt yellow gold lever back tops. The total diamond weight for the both pairs of earrings is approximately 1.34ct with estimated I-K color range and SI1-I1 clarity range. Each wire is stamped with a "W.S." maker's mark as well as the Austro-Hungarian touchmark of a fox, indicating that the earrings were assayed in Vienna between 1872-1922. The earrings are accompanied by appraisal issued by an independent and accredited GIA certified Graduate Gemologist from September 2020 and have a stated retail replacement value of $4,300.00. An outstanding pair of Victorian earrings, they would look magnificent worn on special occasions, and would make a dazzling addition to any collection!
