Victorian 14kt Turquoise + Seed Pearl Cannetile Earrings
An ornate pair of turquoise and pearl earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, these beautiful earrings feature a fantastic display of swirling Cannetile wirework. Each begins with a seven petal flower surmount which adorns lustrous seed pearls and a robin's egg blue turquoise cabochon at the center. An elongated pear-shaped link dangles below, displaying lacy edges and beautiful open wirework. Ten additional seed pearls decorate each drop as another turquoise cabochon adds vibrant intrigue. The earrings attach to a simple 14kt wire and the fine wires securing the pearls may be seen from the reverse side to show the intricate craftsmanship. This beautiful pair of earrings would be a fantastic addition to any victorian collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2 1/4" long, including the wire and measure nearly 7/8" at their widest point.
Condition: The earrings are in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The seed pearls and the turquoise cabochons are all intact and securely set. The earring wires are secure and in good working condition.
