A gorgeous pair of earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 15kt yellow gold, these unusual earrings begin with a lovely turquoise stone riveted through the center of a chalcedony cabochon. The translucent, milky white chalcedony is encircled by a beautifully engraved frame, the surmount securing to the ear by a simple wire. Three gold-capped faceted chalcedony teardrops, each link detailed by an additional turquoise stone set at the base of the gold tops. These unique earrings would be a perfect addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2 7/8" long including the earring wire and are approximately 1" at the widest point.
Condition: The earrings are in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The turquoise and chalcedony stones are free of chips and scratches and are securely set. The earring wires are secure and in good working condition.
