Beautiful gold and diamond earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each of these exquisite English earrings is made of vibrant 15kt yellow gold and is comprised of 2 decorative round ovals that hang from gold toppers. In the center of each oval is a hand-etched starburst design with a Rose Cut diamond set in the center. Surrounding each starburst is an ornate Etruscan wirework border with a delicate floral motif. Very light and comfortable to wear, these gorgeous earrings are hollow inside and are smooth on the back. They hang from simple gold earring wires. The earrings display exceptional artistry and would look elegant worn day or night!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 1/2" long, is 5/8" at the widest point and has a depth of 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, etched detail, Etruscan wirework, or to the earring wires, and both diamonds are intact.
