An incredible bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! An English piece, crafted in 15kt yellow gold, this bracelet features 37 glittering Old Mine Cut diamonds and five phenomenal opal cabochon stones. The opals are absolutely gorgeous, displaying vibrant hues of blues, greens, and yellows with lovely specks of orange flash. All of the bracelet's stones rest in delicate prong settings, creating a lovely pattern around the gently graduated opals. The bangle is smoothly polished, marked with "IG&S", "15CT", and "PATENT BOLT SNAP". "28 UXI" is delicately scratched into the bracelet, right next to the hallmarks. A bolt snap clasp and a figure-8 latch secure the bracelet. This opal bangle is absolutely stunning when worn and would make for a phenomenal addition to any Victorian lover's collection.
Measurements: The area where a wrist would rest measures approximately 2 1/4" wide and 1 15/16" tall, measuring a circumference of approximately 6 1/2". The opal and diamond design measures 7/16" at its widest.
Condition: The bracelet is in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the opals and diamonds are intact and securely set. The bolt snap clasp and the figure-8 latch are both secure and in good working condition.
