Victorian 15kt Diamond Starburst Enameled Foxtail Locket/Pendant 2.50ctw
A spectacular locket and pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This impressive piece is crafted in 15kt yellow gold (indicating English origin) and has a very elaborate and artistic design. The centerpiece features a curved step design at the bottom, which leads to a dazzling diamond starburst at the center. Lining the rays of the starburst are 15 old Mine Cut diamonds, and an additional diamond stone rests at the very top of the piece. The total approximate carat weight for all stones combined is 2.50ctw. Framing the starburst is an applied royal blue enamel pattern and raised, swirled wirework design. The rich enamel motif encircles the base of the star and accents three of the swirled shapes at the top. Hanging from the base of the piece is a wonderful foxtail fringe comprised of a row of tassels and spears. The back of the piece reveals a large glass-covered frame, perfect for keeping a favorite photograph inside. At the top of the pendant is a large fluted bail, perfect for pairing with a gold Victorian chain. A truly stunning piece, it has an exquisite Victorian look and would make an outstanding addition to any collection!
