Victorian 15kt Enameled Left/Right Diamond Hoop Earrings
An absolutely fantastic pair of earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! These 15kt yellow gold earrings have an unusual crescent-like paisley design, consisting of an open oval with a swooping cutout center, creating a left and right side when worn. Each earring features two rows of pavé set sparkling old Mine and Rose Cut diamonds, which line the curved shape to create a diamond encrusted surface. Bordering the diamonds is a black enameled frame, giving the design a very striking look and arow of delicate gold beads with a black enameled surface travels along the outside of each earring. The tips of the open shape are accented with 4 bezel set diamonds, completing the unique design and the earrings fasten with gold European wires that hook in the front. The left/right hoop style earring is very unique and blends seamlessly into modern day fashion. They make a gorgeous statement when worn and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs 1 3/8" long, is 1" wide and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold setting and all of the diamonds are intact. The earring wires are secure and in good working condition. There is some minimal surface wear to the enameling however it is not noticeable when the earrings are worn.
