A lovely and romantic pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful heart-shaped piece is crafted in 15kt yellow gold and displays a charming image of a winged cherub on the front. The hand painted enameled picture features wonderful details, including rosy pink skin, vibrant blue veined wings, and wavy brown hair. The cherub is holding a crescent moon motif, that is lined with sparkling old Rose Cut accent diamonds, adding a wonderful light-catching appeal. Finishing the design is a lovely matte surface, allowing the beautiful image and diamonds to come alive. Resting at the top is a 14kt gold fluted bail (stamped with a "585" gold purity mark on the inside), perfect for hanging from a favorite chain or charm bracelet. A gorgeous and romantic Victorian piece that would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 1/4" long, 5/8" wide, and is 1/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is great. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The diamonds are intact and securely set. The enamel is free of chips or scratches, except for the cherub's right hand, which shows some wear, however given the size, it is hardly noticeable when worn. The bail is secure and in good working condition.
