Victorian 15kt Etruscan & Emerald Rams Head Pendant
A truly exceptional Etruscan pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of vibrant 15kt yellow gold, the pendant has an elaborate design that features detailed Etruscan wirework decorating the entire front surface. The pendant begins with an ornamented gold bail that forms a teardrop shape and attaches to an gold arch with a swirled gold topper. Each side of the arch ends in an impeccably detailed three-dimensional ram's head, complete with curling horns, delicate facial features, and textured fur at the neck. The gold arch hugs the centerpiece of the pendant, which has a swirled design with a twisted wirework surface. Set in the center is a triangular emerald stone. The vivid green color of the emerald stone complements the vibrant yellow gold beautifully. Dangling from the bottom of the pendant is a gold ball locket, which is rounded on the front and flat on the back, revealing a hollow center with glass window. The surface of the gold ball features an exquisite Etruscan wirework design with a flower-like center. Hanging from the bottom of each rams' head is a thin gold chain, which connects to the bottom edge of the pendant. The back of the pendant is initialed with the letters "JB" in raised gold wire. A beautifully crafted piece, this gorgeous pendant would make a stunning and unique addition to any collection!
