Victorian 15kt Gold Banded Agate Bangle Bracelet
A unique gold and banded agate bangle from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning piece is decorated in a delicate scrolled etched design and five cabochon banded agate stones. The stones are bezel set and rest in between the front face and underside of the gold bracelet and rest approximately 1/2" from each other. Where the final agate stone may have rested is instead a slightly smaller link with the monogrammed initials "SCG". The bracelet clasps on the side and each link is hinged, allowing the bracelet to bend only in one direction. When the bracelet is clasped, it is a stiff bangle style. The gorgeous earth tones of black, brown and white set in the yellow gold make this a spectacular accessory! This bracelet makes a true statement when worn and would make a lovely addition to any collection!
Measurement: The top surface of the bracelet measures 5/8" wide. The inside opening (where your wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/4" wide and slightly less than 2" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of this bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the agate stones, all of which are intact. The clasp is snug, secure, and in good working condition. There is normal surface wear to the underside of the gold bracelet which is not unusual for a Victorian bangle, nor is it noticeable when worn.
