Victorian 15kt Old Mine Cut Diamond Hoop Earrings 1.00ctw
A unique and fantastic pair of diamond hoop earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 15kt rosy yellow gold, these wonderful earrings form the shape of an elegant hoop with sparkling diamonds lining the front. An unusual design for this era, each hoop adorns a curved row of 5 old Mine Cut diamonds, which individually rest in an elegant buttercup style prong setting. Together, the 10 diamonds weigh approximately 1.00ctw combined, and display H-J range color and VS-SI range clarity, sparkling brilliantly in the light with every turn. The remainder of the hoop displays a smoothy polished finish, and finishing the design is a European wire at the top that hooks in the front, allowing them to dangle with lovely movement. The earrings frame the face beautifully and have a classic yet unique look, perfect for everyday wear.
Measurements: Each earring hangs slightly more than 3/4" long and measures a little bit more than 1/8" wide and thick. The overall pennyweight of the earrings is 3.5dwt (5.5 grams).
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the diamonds are intact. The hinged European earrings wires are secure and in good working condition.
