A gorgeous turquoise locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This lovely piece is crafted in 15kt yellow gold and sterling silver and forms a shape closely resembling a puffy heart or flower. Completely covering the front surface is a vibrant array of Persian turquoise cabochons which rest in a pavé setting, exhibiting incredible sky blue hues. Complimenting the vivid stones is an old Mine Cut diamond which is nestled in the center, sparkling beautifully as it catches the light with every turn. A gorgeous swirled etched leaf design graces the back of the pendant where a round, glass-covered locket face rests at the center, perfect for storing a special photograph or small keepsake inside. Attached to the top is a simple round bail, allowing it to be hung from a favorite chain. A real beauty, this stunning piece has a sweet and feminine look, and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The locket hangs approximately 1" long (including the bail at the top), measures a little more than 5/8" wide and is approximately 3/8" thick. The glass covered space on the back measures a little more than 1/4" in diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The diamond and all of the pavé turquoise stones are intact and securely set and the removable glass covered locket face and bail are secure and in good working condition.
