Victorian 15kt Rose Cut Diamond Horseshoe Bangle Bracelet 1.00ctw
An absolutely stunning horseshoe bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in 15kt rose gold, this attractive piece is particularly wide and creates a fabulous statement piece when worn. Three twisted rope lines wrap around the entire polished surface, with the center design slightly larger than the rest, and adorning the front is a fantastic raised horseshoe lined with old Rose Cut diamonds. The sparkling bead set stones weigh approximately 1.00ctw combined and catch the light beautifully with every turn. The bracelet is hinged and opens at the side with a simple push clasp and safety latch for added security. Despite it's substantial appearance, the bangle is hollow and light-weight for comfortable wear. A stunning and fashionable piece, it would make a bold statement worn alone or stacked with other bracelets!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 3/8" wide and 1 7/8" tall, and would fit nicely on an average to medium sized wrist. The surface measures approximately 1 3/8" wide and is about 1/8" thick. The horseshoe measures about 1 1/4" tall, a little less than 1" wide, and rests about 1/16" above the surface of the bangle.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The clasp and safety latch are both secure and in good working condition. There is some slight color variation to the gold surface around the opening, along with a subtle darkened patina on areas, which is common given the age of the piece and adds to its beauty and character; this variation is less visible in person than in the pictures. There is a slight dent on the inside of the bracelet near the opening, however it is not noticeable when worn given it's location.
