Victorian 15kt/Sterling Natural Pearl + Rose Cut Diamond Cluster Ring
A gorgeous pearl and diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning piece is crafted in 15kt gold and sterling silver and holds a single natural pearl at the center. The pearl is bezel set and displays a soft, creamy white color with a wonderful surface luster. Surrounding it is a border of 12 old Rose Cut diamonds, which are bead set in in a closed back sterling silver setting, creating a fabulous mixed metals appeal. The diamonds paired with the lustrous pearl have a stunning look, and finishing the design is a smoothly polished band that wraps around the back. This wonderful, feminine piece has a lovely Victorian appeal and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 5.25 but it could be re-sized. The pearl and diamond cluster centerpiece measures slightly less than 1/2" in diameter, and rests slightly more than 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling silver setting. The natural pearl and diamonds are intact and securely set. Due to the hand cut nature of old Rose Cut diamonds, the shape of the stones do not have perfect symmetry. This reflects the age and genuine appearance of antique diamonds.
