Victorian 18k Demantoid Garnet Ring

SKU: 45805

$2,395
This beautiful ring from the Victorian era (ca1880) is simply wonderful! The ring is made of 18k gold and holds a bright green demantoid garnet stone at the center in an eight-prong setting. The estimated 0.65ctw center stone is flanked by four small rose cut diamonds at the shoulders, with the total weight of the diamonds estimated at approximately .40ctw. The simple design is complete with a half-round shank that tapers slightly at the back. This classically Victorian era piece looks gorgeous in person and would make a special addition to any collection!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7.25 but could be resized up or down if desired.

Condition: The ring remains in very good antique condition. There is some normal surface wear to the piece that is commensurate with age. The garnet stone is intact and secure within its setting. Some natural inclusions are visible inside the stone, as well as the signature "horse hair" texture . The scratches are very minor and not noticeable when worn. Some light color variation is present throughout the gold setting, which is also subtle and not noticeable when worn.
