A lovely necklace from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold, this classically designed necklace features five beautiful dark blue and brown speckled lapis lazuli teardrop dangles. The necklace is composed of a snake chain riveted at five points in order to hold the lapis drops in place. Sections of gold snake chain also drape between each lapis drop, adding a beautiful swagged, scalloped look. The lapis stones' hue looks gorgeous against the rich gold, and the chain is secured by a barrel clasp marked "18ct". A unique and elegant necklace, this would be an outstanding addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 16" in length.
Condition: The necklace is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the lapis stones are intact and securely set. The closure is secure and in good working condition.
