A stunning ring from the Victorian (ca. 1880) era! Crafted in 18k gold and topped with platinum, this gorgeous ring features a sparkling old European cut diamond surrounded by a round calibrated sapphire halo. The 1.10ctw diamond is absolutely stunning with its M color and VS1 clarity. The French Cut Sapphires create a wonderful gemstone appeal, with their rich blue hue contrasting perfectly against the bright diamond and platinum. The ring's gallery and airline are simple and linear, allowing light to flood the stones. The shoulders are accented with simple fleur de lis style detail and a razor-edge style band which tapers towards the shank. The band is marked on the outside of the baser of the shank with two indistinguishable hallmarks. This incredible Victorian ring would make a perfect diamond and gemstone engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring fits a finger size of 6 1/2 but could easily be resized.
Condition: The ring is in good antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The diamond is intact and securely set. The sapphires are secure in their setting as well.
