Victorian 18kt Dangling Gold Sphere Earrings
Beautiful gold earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in vibrant 18kt yellow gold, each earring features a dramatic and ornate 3-dimensional design. The earrings hang from bell-shaped surmounts, which attach at the base of a simple clasped earring wire. A brushed golden orb swings freely within the center of a decorative open frame adorned with gold beadwork lining its outer edges. The open link closely follows the shape of the hanging sphere, creating a fabulous appeal. Very lightweight and comfortable to wear, they have a strong Victorian look that seamlessly fits into modern-day fashion!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 1/2" including the earring wire. The decorative frame measures about 3/4" at the widest point. The large sphere has a diameter of slightly more than 1/2".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, dangling links, or to the clasped earring wires, which are secure and intact. There is some light wear around the equator of the spheres but this is not significantly visible when worn.
