Victorian 18kt Mine Cut Diamond Cross Pin/Pendant 4.50ctw
An absolutely stunning diamond cross from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in rich 18kt yellow gold, this jaw dropping piece features seven substantially sized diamonds which line the front of the cross, which can easily be worn as a brooch or pendant. The diamonds, which are old Mine Cut stones, are prong set in a dramatic high prong setting, sparkling beautifully with every turn. An additional 12 delicate accent stones adorn the tips of the cross, giving the pin/pendant a collective total diamond weight of approximately 4.50ctw. The scalloped wirework design is visible along the edges of the cross, and delicate beadwork is present at each of the four points. The back reveals a secure pin clasp as well as a hinged bail, allowing the wearer two stunning options. The appearance of the cross evokes a 15th century Renaissance style, giving the design a look of antiquity often present in religious relics. This gorgeous piece would look beautiful pinned to a favorite garment or worn from a gold chain. It would make a spectacular addition
Measurements: The cross itself measures approximately 1 1/2" tall, 1" wide, and 1/4" thick. When worn as a pendant, it hangs 1 3/4" long, including the bail.
