A wonderful aqua and diamond pendant necklace from the Victorian (1880s) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold and sterling silver, this beautiful piece is comprised of a dramatic drop pendant hanging from a simple sterling chain. The sterling topped gold pendant features two sparkling links which display a large aquamarine stone set amidst a Rose Cut diamond setting. Weighing approximately 3.00 carat in total, the oval-shaped aquamarine rests in a six-prong setting surrounded by an open-channel frame of graduated Rose Cut diamonds. The teardrop shaped link is topped by a single bezel set Rose Cut diamond, dangling freely from the bottom of a regal second link. Open flourishes and fine milgrained detail line the surface, and a hidden bail can be found on the back. The gorgeous sky blue coloring of the aquamarine contrasts beautifully against the darkened silver topping, making this pendant a soft and feminine yet striking statement piece. The pendant hangs from a complementary sterling silver chain which is stamped "925" on the spring ring clasp. A gorgeous piece, this pendant necklace would make a stunning addition to any aquamarine lover's collection.
Measurements: The pendant hangs about 1 3/4" long. The top link of the pendant measures slightly more than 3/4" wide. The teardrop-shaped dangling link measures approximately 3/4" tall by 1/2" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling-topped setting. The Rose Cut diamonds are all intact and securely set. The aquamarine is intact and securely set.
