A gorgeous pair of diamond and sapphire earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold and topped in sterling silver, these lovely earrings begin with a Round Cut sapphire in a yellow gold bezel surrounded by nine Single Cut diamond petals. A foliate-motif link dangles below, featuring additional diamonds which adorn the flowers and garland within the wreath's open shape. An Emerald Cut sapphire rests in the wreath's center, set within a golden bezel, each weighing approximately 0.50ct (1.00ctw between the pair). The earrings secure to the ear with a simple gold post and a tension backing marked "14KT". The subtle contrast between the golden bezels against the silver-topped setting is a truly beautiful touch, and these earrings would be a very special addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 1 7/16" long, and measure slightly more than 5/8" wide, and 1/8" in depth, excluding the earring post.
Condition: The earrings are in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling setting. All of the diamonds and sapphires are intact and securely set.
