Victorian 18kt/Sterling Silver Burmese Ruby + Diamond Ring
A beautiful gemstone ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This gorgeous piece is crafted in 18kt yellow gold topped with sterling silver and features a beautiful row of luscious rubies and sparkling diamonds across the front. Set along the center are five Burmese rubies which graduate in size and display a stunning reddish pink hue. Twenty old Rose Cut diamonds line the scalloped edge bordering each side, further complementing the intense ruby color. Elegant flourishes and flowers adorn each shoulder, beautifully completing the design and the band tapers slightly towards the back. Stamped along the outside of the band are 3 marks, including the number "35," the letter "PR," and what appears to be a French touchmark. A wonderful piece, this gorgeous Victorian ring would make a stunning addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.5, but could be easily resized if desired. The ring measures 8mm at its widest at the top of the design. The tapered band measures approximately 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and silver setting. All of the rubies and diamonds are securely set, however, the stones do have some wear, including a small chip in the center ruby and surface abrasions. None of the damage is noticeable when the ring is worn, nor does it detract from the overall look of the piece.
