Victorian 18kt Substantial Architectural Interlocking Link Earrings
Absolutely fabulous gold earrings from the Victorian (1880s) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold, each begins with a simple earring wire atop a polished ball. Three large oval interlocking chain links cascade from the surmount to support a larger orb by its attached bail. The earrings, which are particularly substantial in length, dangle with fantastic movement and are hollow, making them very comfortable to wear. The lightweight earrings look stunning when worn and frame the face beautifully. Both collectible and fashionable, these earrings strike the perfect balance between feminine and industrial. They would make for an excellent addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 3 1/4" long including the earring wire. The smaller surmount spheres measure about 3/8" in diameter. The larger sphere measures approximately 7/8" in diameter.
Condition: The earrings are in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the 18kt yellow gold setting. There are two holes in the surmount spheres, part of the hollowed design, that are not noticeable when worn.
