A delightful fob from the Victorian (ca1853) era! Crafted in 9kt yellow and rose gold, this fob displays a figural horse. The handcrafted horse has a detailed face, a lovely mane, and a textured coat, and it stands atop a three-tiered platform stamped with an assay mark for Newcastle, "9", "375", "O" (indicating its craft in 1853), and a maker's mark. A deep black-green bloodstone with orange-red flecks is set into the underside of the fob, and simple bail readies it to be worn on a favorite chain. Wonderful on its own or paired with matching pieces, this fob would be a perfect gift for an equestrian!
Measurements: The fob measures approximately 13/16" tall, excluding the bail. Its base measures 1/2" by slightly more than 5/8".
Condition: The fob is in good antique condition. The bloodstone is intact and securely set.
