A beautiful muff chain from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This wonderful piece is crafted in 14kt rose gold to form a fabulous necklace! Each link is comprised of twisting wire, the unique links alternating with simple round, golden rings. The necklace fastens at a spring-ring and a watch clasp (stamped with an obscured "R.T"), perfect for hanging a favorite locket or pendant. Generous in length at 74", it can be worn long or applied up to four times overhead or using the clasps for a layered look. A beautifully made piece, it is versatile enough to wear every day and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The entire length of the chain measures 74" long. The links measure 19/32" long and 1/8" wide. It weighs 46.4g.
Condition: The chain is in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The spring ring clasp and watch swivel clasp are both secure and in good working condition.
