A feminine cherub bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in .800 purity silver, or continental silver, this lovely Austro-Hungarian piece has a simple yet attractive design. Gracing the front of the bangle is an intricately hand-painted scene of six children playing various games, including hoop-and-stick, ball, and swinging. The detailed image is decorated with gorgeous enamel in pastel shades of pink, blue, yellow and brown, adding wonderful colorful to the design. The smoothly polished bracelet features a hinge and clasp on either side, which are decorated with a matching etched design. Stamped inside of the bracelet brand and along the tongue of the clasp are several hallmarks, including a dog's head mark, and a date letter "A," dating this piece to Vienna between 1872-1922. A beautiful and unusual bracelet, it would stack nicely with other complimentary bangles and blends seamlessly into modern day fashion!

Measurements: The inner circumference of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 6" and would likely fit a small to average sized wrist. The surface measures just over 1/2" wide and is 1/8" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is good. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting. The enamel is free of chips, however there are some scratches and wear to the surface. The hinge and clasp fasten securely and are in good working condition.
