Victorian Brass & Glass Forget-Me-Not Picture Frame
A lovely forget-me-not picture frame from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful oval-shaped frame is made of brass and is decorated with 18 delicate flowers that surround the glass center. The flowers are made of colored glass and resemble charming forget-me-nots, with their sky blue petals and white centers which are depicted by faux pearls. A twisted metal border frames the photo inside, and two decorative swirls of wire at the base of the frame act as the feet. The back of the piece reveals a simple hinged bar stand and removable back, allowing you to store your own special photograph inside. A beautiful Victorian piece, the frame has a simple, lovely design and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The frame stands 3" tall, measures 2 3/8" wide, and and is 3/8" thick at its deepest point. The space behind glass (where you'd store a photograph) measures 1 7/8" wide and 2" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the frame is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the metal setting, glass flowers, faux pearls, or glass center. The bar stand is secure and the removable photo backing is intact. There is a natural patina on the brass which gives it its dark color, which is common for a piece from the Victorian era.
