Absolutely stunning agate drop earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring begins with a curled snake topper which has a single turquoise stone set at its head. Dangling from the slithering surmount is a long teardrop shaped agate stone. The agate, which is particularly large in size, is slightly translucent with fabulous earthy hues of greyish white, caramel and deep brown. The top of each teardrop is capped with a small scalloped 14kt gold topper which completes the design perfectly. These stunning earrings are in beautiful condition and would look stunning when worn!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 4 1/4" long, and measures slightly less than 1/2” wide and thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or agate stones and both turquoise stones are intact.
