Victorian Enameled Locket with Pearl & Diamond Cross
A stunning enameled locket pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This fabulous piece is comprised of an 18kt yellow gold oval shaped locket pendant that has a vivid blue enameled face. Set on the front of the locket is a cross which is represented by 7 natural pearls and 4 separate clusters of 3 old Rose Cut diamonds, which rest on the inside corners of the cross. The enameled oval is surrounded by 18 additional natural pearls which are riveted into the piece. The bail has 3 Rose Cut diamonds on it and there is a single pearl that hangs from the bottom of the piece by a 3-stone diamond link. The pendant is made of 18kt yellow gold and is sterling silver topped where the rose cut diamonds are set. On the back of the locket is a glass covered place for a single picture. It's a lovely piece and would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The locket pendant hangs approximately 2 1/8" long, is 1 1/8" at the widest point and has a depth of 1/2".
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the enameling or gold setting and all of the pearls and diamonds are intact.
