An absolutely stunning and unique snake bracelet from the Victorian (ca1840s) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold, this fantastic bangle portrays a snake whose body curls around the wrist, with its head and tail overlapping at the center, forming a striking bypass style design. The ornate head is adorned with 2 mine cut diamonds that weigh approximately 1.35ctw combined, resting in a silver prong setting, catching the light beautifully with every turn. An incredible estimated 3.0+ctw pear-shaped opal cabochon is bezel set in the head as well. The bangle is smoothly polished and bright. The bangle is hinged on the side, and fastens with a push clasp stamped on the tongue with a French eagle head and French Boar's head mark, indicating its gold & silver purity and age. An unusual piece, the bracelet looks stunning when worn, and would make a perfect addition to any collection

Measurements: The bracelet's interior circumference measures approximately 6", making this piece best for a small-sized wrist. The bracelet weighs 31.9g.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold setting, except for a small dent in the side of the bracelet. The stones are all intact and secure and the push clasp functions with ease.
