Victorian Gold-Filled Hand + Puffy Glass Heart Fob Pendant
A wonderful and unusual fob pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This lovely yellow gold-filled piece forms the shape of a 3-dimensional hand, which grasps a romantic link at the base. Resting at the center of the rectangular link is a round plaque adorned with a beautiful puffy heart hand-carved out of white colored glass. A textured pattern surrounds the plaque and decorate the sides of the link, while fabulous graduated accents at the base provide a wonderful eye-catching appeal. The hand displays realistic details with long, graceful fingers, and ruffled cuff at the sleeve, and finishing the design is a simple bail at the top, perfect for hanging from a favorite chain. A romantic Victorian piece, it makes a fashionable statement that blends seamlessly into modern day fashion!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 1/2" long, including the bail at the top, and measures about 3/4" wide and 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold-filled setting. The glass heart is intact and secure, however, a tiny bubble underneath the surface near the corner is visible. The bubble is barely noticeable when worn and should not be considered damage as it was most likely present during production of the piece. The bail is secure and in good working condition.
