Victorian Gold-Filled Opaline Glass + Onyx Man In The Moon Fob Pendant
A wonderful man in the moon fob pendant! This unique piece features a double-sided design which displays an opaline glass man in the moon on one side and an onyx seal on the other. Both stones rest in a sunburst-like gold-filled bezel setting, encircled by a scalloped octagonal-shaped frame. The setting's angular spokes nicely complement the smiling moon's kind features and the molded opaline glass displays a wonderful pale white, iridescent hue. The reverse side features black onyx seal which is round in shape with a smoothly polished finish. The fob pendant hangs from a matching bail and is ready to attach to a favorite chain! This piece would be a wonderful addition to any celestial collection for daily wear.
Measurements: The fob pendant measures approximately 1 1/4" long (including the bail), 1" wide and 1" wide, 3/8" deep.
Condition: The fob pendant is in overall very good antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the setting, the opaline glass, or the onyx stone. The bail is secure and in good working condition.
