A lovely Victorian sailor's anchor compass pendant! This unusual piece is from the Victorian period (ca1880) and is made of sterling silver. Particularly large in size, the piece portrays a 3-dimensional anchor and has a double sided compass at its center. The compass, which is completely transparent, is encased in a sterling bezel setting that depicts the shape of a sailing wheel. The piece has beautiful detail with beveled edges and speared tips and a paddle and cane which criss-crosses at the center of the anchor. At the top is a sterling ring which is perfect for attaching to a chain. This unique piece would make a great addition to any collection!

Measurements: The compass has an approximate diameter of 5/8" and is slightly less than 1/4" thick. The large anchor hangs approximately 2 1/2" long, and is about 1 1/2" at it's widest point.

Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. The compass is in excellent, working condition and besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver.
