Victorian Large 15kt Pavé Persian Turquoise Fringe Earrings
A magnificent pair of Persian turquoise earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in rich 15kt yellow gold, the earrings are oval in shape and particularly large in size. A wonderful design of Pavé (French for "pavement") set turquoise stones cover the surface of the center link which has a dramatic convex face. A marvelous twisted wire frame encircles the turquoise and at the base of each earring are 23 fringed gold bars that range in length to create a chevron shape. The earrings hang from a complimentary fluted sterling topper, detailed with 4 turquoise stones and are attached to simple gold earring wires. This eye catching pair of earrings have a fabulous look that would make a perfect addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2 1/4" long, are 1" wide and approximately 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings are excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the turquoise stones, which are all intact.
