Victorian Large 18kt Diamond Starburst Locket 0.85ctw
A stunning locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in vibrant 18kt yellow gold and features an 8-point diamond encrusted starburst on the front. The starburst is comprised of 19 bead set old Mine Cut diamonds, with the largest stone set in the center, weighing approximately 0.35ct. Collectively, the total approximate carat weight for the diamonds is 0.85ctw, sparkling beautifully in the light with every turn. The beautiful locket hangs from a complimentary gold fluted bail and the front opens to reveal space for two photographs inside. This exceptional locket is absolutely gorgeous and would be a treasured addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: The locket hangs approximately 2 3/8" long, is 1 1/2" wide and 3/8" at the thickest point. The starburst on the face of the locket measures approximately 1 1/16" long and 7/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or bail and all of the diamonds are intact. The locket opens easily and closes securely.
