Victorian Petite 14kt Old Rose Cut Diamond + Ruby Horseshoe Earrings
A pair of lovely diamond and ruby earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each of these 9kt yellow gold earrings features a petite sized equestrian horseshoe, which is adorned with vibrant diamond and ruby stones across the front surface. Four old Rose Cut diamonds alternate with 5 raspberry red faceted rubies, each stone beautifully reflecting the light with every turn. Each horseshoe hangs from a delicate interlocking chain that meets in the middle, dangling from an old Rose Cut diamond studded topper. The earrings hang from a simple 14kt yellow gold wire at the top, allowing them to swing with lovely movement and frame the face beautifully. These unique and gorgeous earrings are a wonderful Victorian era piece, and would make a stunning addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs a little more than 1" long, slightly more than 1/4" wide, and is about 1/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the diamonds and rubies are intact and securely set. The earring wires are secure and in good working condition.
