Victorian Petite 18kt Two-Tone Figa Fist + Four Leaf Clover Charm Pendant
A Figa is a symbol worn around the world to attract good luck to the person wearing it. It's depicted by a single clenched fist and can be made of metal, wood, stone or ivory and is traditionally thought to bring good luck only if it is given as a gift.
A wonderful Figa pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in vibrant 18kt rose gold, this beautiful piece is petite in size and forms the shape of clenched figa fist with a smoothly polished surface. A lovely ribbed yellow gold cap rests at the top, creating a fabulous two-tone appeal, and dangling from the wrist is a four leaf clover charm, providing wonderful movement to the design. Indentations at the tips of the fingers mimic the look of fingernails and a simple gold bail rests at the top, stamped with a "750" gold purity mark on one side and a maker's mark on the other. Perfect for hanging from a favorite chain or charm bracelet, this piece would make a wonderful and lucky addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 1/8" long, and measures about 3/8" wide, and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The clover charm and bail are secure and in good working order.
