Victorian Pinchbeck + Carved Agate Triple Hoop Earrings
A fabulous pair of earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! These pinchbeck earrings have a wonderful design beginning with a hollowed, fluted teardrop surmount attached to a simple earring wire. A partial orb hangs below, housing three oval-shaped hoops that dangle with lovely movement. A carved banded agate cabochon decorates the foliate accent swinging in the hoops' center. The pinchbeck has a delightful matte brushed texture, allowing the color to shine. These earrings are a lovely example of pinchbeck jewelry and would be a perfect addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2" long including the earring wires. They measure approximately 13/16" at their widest point and the agate accent piece measures about 1/4" deep.
Condition: The earrings are in excellent overall condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the pinchbeck setting. All of the swinging accents are securely attached. The banded agate stones are intact and securely set. The earring wires are in overall good working condition.
