Victorian Rose Cut Diamond Natural Pearl Cluster Earrings
A lovely pair of pearl and diamond earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 15kt yellow gold, each earring features a fabulous natural pearl center surrounded by a diamond border. The pearls have a wonderful creamy golden color swirled with soft blue, green and pink iridescent hues and a high luster surface. Each connects to the earring mounting via a gold wire which is riveted through the center and attaches to mounting. The diamond border is comprised of delicate old Rose Cut diamonds which are set in a shared prong setting, adding a lovely sparkle! On the back of the earrings is a modern 14kt yellow gold clasped lever back wire, completing the design. Both simple and feminine, these stunning Victorian earrings are ideal for everyday wear, and would make a beautiful addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 7/8" long, are 1/2" at the widest and are 3/8" at the thickest point. The pearls measure approximately 9.25mm in size.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and the clasped wires are secure and in good working condition. The pearls and diamonds are intact and securely set. Due to the hand cut nature of old Rose Cut diamonds, the shape of the stones do not have perfect symmetry. This reflects the age and genuine appearance of antique diamonds.
